1. Hanging in the balance,
On a woman's free choice,
A young life is waiting
Without any voice.
The child is unwanted,
Just a burden, a trial,
What's to become of the child?
Innocent, unborn child.

THERE'S A TINY HEART BEATING,
FRAGILE HANDS REACHING,
LIPS THAT CAN FORM A LITTLE SMILE.
THERE'S A SMALL BODY NEEDING
PROTECTION AND FEEDING---
INNOCENT, UNBORN CHILD;
INNOCENT, UNBORN CHILD.

2. Does it really matter
How this child was conceived?
Surely there's a purpose
For this living growing seed.
Even if a woman is tragically defiled,
Should you take the life of the child?
Innocent, unborn child.

3. The eggs of a turtle,
Buried in the sand,
Fiercely protected
By cause-seeking man.
Jailed and fined are they
Who harm creatures in the wild,
But who will save the life of the child?
Innocent, unborn child.
